Exploring the forces, history, and beauty of Norwegian nature

Norsk Natursenter in Hardanger is Norway’s leading experience center for nature, climate, and environment, and an authorized visitor center for Hardangervidda National Park. Located along the scenic route between Bergen and Oslo, the center welcomes guests to explore exhibitions that reveal the dramatic forces shaping Norway’s mountains, fjords, glaciers, and wildlife. Highlights include aquariums with native species, interactive displays, and themed presentations connecting art and nature.

A centerpiece of the visit is the panoramic film “Norge mitt land - Fjord, Mountain, Waterfall, and Hardangervidda,” shown on one of Europe’s largest panoramic screens with groundbreaking 12K quality. The center also features Hardangerviddahallen restaurant, serving local specialties such as deer stew and mountain trout, alongside seasonal art exhibitions and guided tours. With over 260 years of nature and cultural history presented in innovative ways, it is one of the most visited attractions in Hardanger.
