Flor & Fjære is a family-owned oasis located on a private island just outside Stavanger, home to Norway’s largest private garden. The story began in 1965 when the Bryn family built a cabin on the island, gradually transforming their passion for plants into a world-class garden destination. Today, the third generation continues the vision of creating “the best garden ever - every year.”
Visitors arrive by boat from Stavanger and are welcomed with a guided tour through palm trees, exotic flowers, waterfalls, and dramatic landscape design. The experience continues with a seasonal meal prepared using ingredients often sourced from the garden itself, followed by time to explore freely. Flor & Fjære is a unique combination of tropical beauty, warm hospitality, and immersive dining in a setting unlike anywhere else in Norway.
